1st Sittingbourne Boys’ Brigade & Girls’ Association meets every Tuesday evening during term time. We are a uniformed Christian Organisation working with young people between the ages of 5 years & 19 years.

The 1st Sittingbourne Company

active since 1986


The 1st Sittingbourne Company has been active since 6th September 1986, previously meeting at Sittingbourne United Reformed Church, we moved to Sittingbourne Methodist Church in 2016. From September 2013 we began to admit girls into our membership at all age groups.
During our 27+ years we have seen only 4 captains:

  • Dave Griffin started the company and served for 2 years.
  • Sally Walach took on the company in 1988 and served for 9 Years.
  • Pete Fallows followed Sally as captain in 1997, initially planning to serve as captain for just 2 years, but continued to 2013 and racked up a total of 16 years!!
  • Paul Haggan is our current captain – Will he break the record again??

    For Boys & Girls aged 11 to 15 years – 1930hrs-2100hrs

    For Young Men & Ladies aged 15 to 18 years – 1930hrs-2100hrs
