Paul Haggan

Captain – 1st Sittingbourne

Hi, I am Paul Haggan and I have been Captain of 1st Sittingbourne Boys’ Brigade & Girls’ Association since September 2013.

When did I Join The Boy’s Brigade?

I joined The 1st Headcorn Boys’ Brigade Company in 1990 at the age of 6 as an Anchor.

When did I come to 1st Sittingbourne?

At the age of 11 I moved to Sittingbourne with my family and joined the 1st Sittingbourne Boys’ Brigade Company as a Junior.

Through the years I progressed through the Juniors, Company and Senior Sections and at the age of 18 I became a leader where I worked with all age groups within the company.

Becoming Captain…

I took over from Pete Fallows as Captain in September 2013.

Other work within The Battalion

Alongside being a Company Captain I am on the Battalion Executive. This involves looking after training and development within The North West Kent Battalion. I am also a member of the England Regional Committee, and a Brigade Training Officer, in addition to working full time!
